Sketchcrawl was this past weekend, but I decided not to make the 50 mile round trip to meet with the group in Davis. So, I went into the backyard and chose the pumpkin leaves for my study with Inktense pencils. the challenge is on to get a better understanding of how to use these colors.
The story behind these leaves is that a friend bought a package of giant pumpkin seeds. He kept half and gave the other half to my husband. We'll see who wins.

How exciting. . . these are gorgeous, AND soon you will be able to sketch jack-o-lanterns!! Woohoo!!!
Nice study! Beautifully drawn, and those Inktense pencils(being mentioned a lot of times by EDM members now) are starting to stir my curiosity up ^^
I use the Derwent Inktense pencils too - really nice to have on hand went out and about sketching. Your artwork is very nice.
You did a fine job with this. I have some of the pencils, but haven't done much with them. You've inspired me to get them out and give them a go! nancy
I love the colours you've chosen for this sweet sketch Sandra. Progress pics would be fun.
I planted what I thought were melon seeds, now I think they were pumpkin seeds...looks just like your sketch!
Nice sketch and great colours. I have a box of these somewhere, but haven't really experimented much with them. Might give them an outing now I've seen your lovely drawing ;)
I think you already won!
Wonderfully observed,Sandra!
