OK, I continue to sew for my grandbabies, but the opportunity for attending figure sessions is one that I don't want to miss.
This first drawing was a 20 minute pose. For these two pieces I used pastel pencils. I continue to learn about the figure as well as the many tools.
This yellow reclining figure was a 30 minute pose. There are hints that I'm getting the idea. However, when I finished, I realized that her head was to small and I added more hair. Ahhh, nice idea, but still off. Yet, I pleased that I learning about shading. Each Friday morning for three hours I get to join some really talented artists. We do work in silence, but many, when asked, will share their knowledge at breaks.

Hello Sandra,
These drawings are very good. The second one has a lovely flow to it and the first is a wonderful study.
I will have to keep watching your site for more drawings.

Well done Sandra, I particularly like the reclining figure, giving her more hair worked, and the shading is great.
I like the reclining figure - it has such a style too it. It looks great (if you didn't discuss what trouble you had, I never would have known!)
I am very impressed! I,too, think the reclining figure is great - a lovely flow to the shape.
nice ones Sandra =)
You look as if you're doing well, I really like the second figure too!
What I like about the reclining figure is how you can feel the weight of her pose. I think you did a wonderful job and can see you are learning so much from this group!
Definitely getting better Sandra. Raena stole my words re the weight of the reclining figure.
I can see how much I would learn from such a class - what a great 3 hours a week. You've inspired me to sign up for a group in my area :)
