We've been watching momma and papa bird going in and out of a 6 ft bush that we have in the backyard. I was able to capture a picture yesterday. Today the babies listened to their parents and would not pop up.
I had some doves in my tree and got a few pictures but they flew the coop before I got what I wanted. It seemed like they left too early but they must know better what they are doing than I do and I didn't see any sign of mishap.
What I so enjoy about your blog Sandra- is it truly is a Mixed Bag. You obviously enjoy life- you infuse warmth and sincerity into your interactions with others. You strike me as someone who is very comfortable with herself. Your baby bird photo is lovely.
They are gloriously pretty/ugly at the same time! Wish I could find a nest in my backyard!! They all seem to nest across the street, but come to my feeder!

aww, reminds of when I was a kid and tried to adopt the baby birds whose mama thought they were ready to fly...
